Our Mission

• To provide the appropriate connections for services and resources offered in the community at the state and local level as needed by cancer patients and their care givers.

• To ease the burden for care providers by offering an additional means of organizing and access to assistive services and resources.

• To operate in a financial, ethical and thoughtful manner to address the daily needs of cancer patients and integrate care, hope and ongoing support.

• To address cancer patients requests in a sensitive and competent way with the highest level of integrity, behavior and confidentiality.

• To reach out and make a difference in the lives of all cancer patients and their care givers.

  • TOM PETERSON

    CHAIRMAN & FOUNDER

    Tom Peterson is a Senior Vice President at Merrill Lynch in Cottonwood, Utah. Tom has been a financial advisor for 40 years. In 2006 Tom lost his first wife, Roma, to ovarian cancer. After many years of wanting to raise funds in her honor, in 2014 Tom and his daughter Brooke founded the Cancierge Foundation. Tom lives in Holladay with his wife, Cynthia, and together they have six children.

  • DR. NITIN CHANDRAMOULI

    Dr. Chandramouli has been a practicing Oncologist & Hematologist in Salt Lake City for nearly 20 years. Throughout his career, he has seen the impact cancer and cancer-treatment has had on our friends and family, not only with symptoms and side effects but also the emotional-psychological, financial and family toll on a day-to-day basis. He joined with Tom Peterson to help found the Cancierge Foundation at its inception, with the goal of helping our friends and family in the community with the simple needs that we all take for granted, such as transportation to treatment visits. He previously served on the board of the Quality of Life Community, been adjunct clinical faculty for University of Utah School of Medicine, current adjunct clinical faculty at Rocky Vista University, an advisory board member and clinical reviewer for the ONCOLOGY journal, past-president of the Society of Utah Medical Oncologist and current president of Utah Cancer Specialists.

  • DAN MURRAY

    Dan Murray is founder and CEO of Onkos/Biometric Dashboard. Dan's wife, Marie, fought a courageous 10 year battle with breast cancer and passed away in 2016. While Dan and his wife were blessed with plenty of support during Marie's illness, he was impacted by the hardships endured by other patients going through treatment and was searching for an effective outlet to help. Dan lives in Salt Lake raising his teenage daughter.

  • BEN ROGERS

    Benjamin Rogers served in the U.S Marine Corps, has acted as a consultant to various organizations and political institutions around the world, and is now a financial advisor at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management. Benjamin completed both his Bachelor of Science in International Studies and Master of Science in Finance from the University of Utah, and is passionate about giving back to the local community by partnering with non-profits that are making a difference. His passion for the Cancierge Foundation stems from his parents’ battles with cancer and the difficulty they both had getting to their treatments regularly—Ben’s father didn’t have a steady means of transportation and, after he passed away, his mother was also diagnosed with cancer and struggled to juggle her treatments, raise her two boys and run her business. Ben also serves on the Board of Trustees for Survivor Wellness (formerly Cancer Wellness House) to help provide free therapeutic treatments, psychological support and sense of community for families afflicted by loved ones with cancer; Survivor Wellness is a benefactor of the Cancierge Foundation.

  • DAVE KAPLAN

    David Kaplan is a CPA and the President of Cottonwood Asset Management. David was introduced to the Cancierge foundation a few years after his wife, Andrea finished her chemotherapy for breast cancer. Fortunately she is now in full remission. "After going through the cancer treatments with her, I appreciate the mission of the Cancierge foundation and appreciate the opportunity to serve on its board of directors." David serves as Cancierge’s treasurer.

  • DR. JOHN LIBRETT

    As a cancer survivor, Dr. Librett is Founder and Chief Science Officer, Survivor Healthcare; and Executive Chairman, Survivor Wellness. Survivor Healthcare treats Cancer Related Disease Trauma (CRDT) improving physical and mental health and reducing financial toxicity. Survivor Wellness treats CRDT through free evidence-based integrative cancer care that is not covered by insurance. Dr. Librett is a past member of the Lance Armstrong Foundation's Public Health Advisory Board, Clinical Director of the American Medical Athletic Association's Clinical Advisory Board and past chair of a White House Federal Interagency Health Council. Dr. Librett is a former health scientist with the Centers for Disease Control and Institute Clinical Conference Series in Preventive Medicine. Dr. Librett is recognized for his national leadership in preventive medicine, clinical translation and health policy. On these issues, John has worked with the White House, the US Department of Health and Human Services; and the World Health Organization, the Pan American Health Organization and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as well as governments and corporations in Eastern Europe, Central and South America, and the U.S. In addition to his business development, Dr. Librett's health policy research has appeared in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine, World News Tonight, and NPR's Morning Edition, to name a few. Dr. Librett is a Founder of the First Ascent Fund, President and Founder of Behavioral Science International.

  • KELLY NELSON

    Kelly has been engaged in business finance all his career. Kelly is currently concentrated on personal investments and philanthropic interests. Kelly is a seasoned, hands-on executive with over 30 years’ experience in mergers and acquisitions. Kelly was a co-founder and Managing Partner of a closely held Investment Bank with domestic and international holdings across multiple sectors. Kelly’s life was profoundly affected by cancer as a caregiver to his first wife, Brenda. Brenda fought a courageous six-year battle with ovarian cancer. Kelly lost his father to a lengthy battle with prostate cancer. Kelly and his wife Anna Beck are passionate supporters of select non-profit charitable organizations. Together they have four children and live in Holladay.

  • DIRK LINDERMAN

    Dirk Linderman is the Principle of Mercator Holdings LLC, a digital marketing strategy and consulting firm after having a varied background running from television production and public speaking to commercial real estate. Dirk was profoundly impacted by his Mothers 17 year battle with cancer losing her when he was 29. The impact of that and seeing other family members and friends battle the disease caused him to get involved in helping those and their loved ones going through the hardships associated with cancer. Dirk has served and continues to serve with other non-profit boards and committees.
